If I wonder how someone is doing these days, it doesn’t help me to see that they went on vacation last week, are upset about something in the news, or even got a new job. That’s not the big picture. Think of what you’d tell a friend you hadn’t seen in a year.

Hi there. I’m in the middle of figuring out what I want to do since I’ve graduated. There’s an incredible amount of choice, an ever-changing world of gotchas, and a healthy amount of competition.

Pragmatically I’m trying to:

  • Find a job/school where I feel like I’m making progress.
  • Get better at music and coding.
  • Get in shape. Done!

I’ve come up with some things I’m happy to do to realize that. Sorry for the corniness.

  • Trying to document everything that I’m doing right_now as a reminder of progress.
  • Staying accountable to myself.
  • Trying to self-learn new things, either within my degree program or just in general, about anything.
  • Trying to realize the best version of myself possible.
  • Meet really good people.
  • Get really good at things I have always wanted to be good at like music or art, but didn’t because I was scared or didn’t have the time.
